Hi, my name is Nina Fotara M.C.Th.A and I am a home based professional Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.

Unlike some therapists, I have not been drawn to learn other therapies and I therefore specialise only in Reiki. Reiki is a wonderful and potentially life changing therapy to work with and I am honoured to have been introduced to it, in its true Japanese form, by Frans Stiene of The International House of Reiki.

I took my Reiki Master's Shinpiden level course in Scotland with Frans Stiene (co author of The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, The A-Z of Reiki Pocketbook, The Reiki Techniques Card Deck and Your Reiki Treatment). The Reiki Masters course was a truly unique and wonderful opportunity to learn the art of Japanese Reiki passed to Frans through a Japanese line of Reiki Master's that belong to the highly renowned 'Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai' in Japan.
Frans is an amazing teacher with so much knowledge and experience and I thank both him and Bronwen Stiene wholeheartedly for the opportunity to attend the course. International House of Reiki hold a yearly Reiki Master/Teacher course for their students and I attend this in order to continue to build on my own personal practice.

Since Reiki entered my life I have been constantly amazed at the changes it has bought to my life and the lives of those around me. Reiki helps you to relax and go with the natural flow of life, easing stress and helping you to cope with everyday situations calmly. Reiki also helps sufferers of practically any illness on some level, be that curing an illness completely or easing its effects on the sufferer or easing the mind of the sufferer, in turn helping the sufferer to cope with the illness in a much better way. Prior to booking your Reiki treatment I highly recommend you read 'Your Reiki Treatment' by Frans and Bronwen Stiene of the International House of Reiki, it contains all you need to know, to ask and to expect of your Reiki treatment. I would recommend the book even to those who have previously undergone a Reiki treatment as Reiki treatments can vary greatly. I cannot recommend the book enough.

Before booking your Reiki treatment with a therapist it is worth considering the following:
* You will play a significant role in your own healing process and the more relaxed and open to healing you can be, the more you stand to gain from your treatment.
* In order to be open and relaxed it is extremely important that you feel comfortable and at ease with the therapist you have chosen so speak to them before booking your treatment and ask any questions that come to mind.
* The therapist you choose will play a large part in your healing process as the more that a therapist works with Reiki the more they are able to channel. This does not mean that a therapist who works solely with Reiki will be a dedicated personal practitioner so it is important that you check what their personal practice entails (i.e. working with the precepts, daily self healing, working with the symbols on a personal level etc).

If you are considering booking a treatment with me then you will be pleased to know that I am fully insured to both practice and teach Reiki and I am a current member of the UK Reiki Federation (ensuring I abide by a strict code of conduct), I am a member of the Complimentary Therapists Association (ensuring ongoing professional development). I have attended an emergency first aid course and a basic human anatomy and physiology course.

I have voluntarily joined associations which I believe help me to maintain a high professional standard as I consider it my duty to strive to give my clients the highest degree of treatment.

All insurance, Reiki, first aid and membership certificates are on clear display at my practice and I am always happy to answer any questions that you might have.

I always provide my clients with voluntary feedback forms to enable every client to have their say and I always take the feedback on board and appreciate how kind my clients are in taking their time to complete their feedback forms!
